This cut and restored rope routine is different to others. The spectator can choose exactly where the rope is cut and hold both ends of the rope whilst it is cut, pulling the cut end into the magicians hand and immediately restoring it. It has the added advantage of not using any of the long rope, so you never end up with a piece that is too short to use for the effect
